Improvement, not revenge or rivalry, is the key for Zachary and Catholic

David Brewerton has been asked whether this is a revenge game.

The Zachary High football coach brushes off those questions about playing his alma mater. He says the Broncos simply seek leverage toward a successful season.

“This is a new season, and you’ve got two different football teams,” he said. “This isn’t about revenge. What I look forward to about playing Catholic High is this — the chance to play another program. I think any time you get to play freshman, JV and varsity games in one week, it’s special. The atmosphere will be electric, and that’s a great thing.”
